Sero’s Expectations of Players

As Role Players

As role players, I expect you to:

  • Commit to your character’s story as a journey of learning and growth.
  • Discover common cause with your party members by cooperating to achieve shared goals.
  • Strive to make the world a better place.

As role players, I also request that you:

  • Do not play evil alignments.
  • Do not oppose party members mechanically (such as by stealing from them or fighting against them in combat) unless your character is under some compulsion declared by the DM (such as being under the influence of a dominate person spell) or you have received consent in advance from the entire table of players (not merely the player who is playing the targeted character).
  • Do not assume that treating every NPC or monster who exists merely as a loot dispensary or experience point generator will solve all of your character’s problems.

As Table Members

As table members, I expect you to:

  • Treat your fellow players kindly and fairly.
  • Listen actively.
  • Communicate clearly.
  • Abide by the Ethics Statements.

As table members, I request that you:

  • Do not discuss real-world politics, religions, sexualities, recreational drugs, or piracy (as in sharing files rather than eye patches or peg legs).
